From the opening notes, I knew this album was going to be special. On Elisora Mr. Mayr continues his recent trend of long-form compositions, each track a mini-adventure which, like the movements of a classical symphony, fit into a larger musical story. The album also provides a good overview of Mayr’s musical styles, showcasing his diverse approaches to electronic music and features some nice bluesy electric guitar sequences. Paul Asbury Seaman
